Backwoods Solar is proud to be the exclusive distributor of the new Eclipse Home Series LiFePo4 battery. Eclipse LiFePo4 batteries offer longer life span, greater depth of discharge and decreased size and weight over conventional lead acid batteries. And now, the Eclipse Home Series features closed-loop communications with inverters and data distribution/control systems. The sophisticated Eclipse Battery Management System (BMS) provides active cell management for impressive discharge and recharge efficiency. Eclipse LiFePo4 batteries are sealed so off-gassing is eliminated; no active venting is needed. There is no need to maintain water levels or take hydrometer readings. Ease of installation and operation make the Eclipse LiFePo4 battery as close to a zero maintenance lithium battery that we have come across.
Eclipse Home Series is a great “drop-in” replacement for your current 48 volt battery bank. With a cycle life of up to 6000 cycles to a 50% Depth Of Discharge (DOD), this battery will still have well over half of it’s capacity left after 15 years. This may be the last battery you need to buy! (Cycle life may vary based on application and operation).
Please Note – The Home series is not compatible with standard Eclipse 48/100 batteries. They are a new form factor, stackable models and have 16 cells vs 15 cells in the standard models. Includes cables for connecting/communicating with Victron Cerbo.
