Trimetric 2030-RV with Wi-Fi Unit 

Keep an eye on your batteries from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. The Trimetric 2030-RV is available with a Wi-Fi module that provides wireless access to battery information, solar charging data, and configuration parameters using Wi-Fi technology.

Backwoods Solar recommends using Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) mode for communication. Station mode requires programming that most users may find difficult and can result in data loss or loss of functionality.

The Tri-Metric 2030-RV keeps a running total of power going into or out of your battery and displays the present level of charge. Referred to as a "net meter," the Tri-Metric is one of the most comprehensive displays a battery management system can utilize.

The meter head mounts anywhere in the vehicle or trailer for easy checking. Small wires run from the meter to a shunt near the battery. Note: These small wires should not run parallel to any AC wiring.

This RV version of the Trimetric has all the same functionality as the A version, but in a smaller package with its own mounting enclosure included.

The Tri-Metric Meter Reads:

• VOLTS: The Tri-Metric can monitor two battery banks, with voltage being the only parameter read on the second bank. Accurate to 1/10 volt. For 12-, 24-, or 48-volt systems.
• AMPS or WATTS: Displays the rate of energy going into or out of your batteries so you can monitor your charging system and energy consumption.
• AMP-HOURS: Displays your battery's state of charge in amp-hours.
• % FULL: Provides a quick indication of battery state of charge.

Advanced Functions

The Tri-Metric also provides several advanced monitoring functions, including:

• Flashing alarm to remind you when the battery needs charging or equalizing
• Days elapsed since the last full charge
• Amp-hours cycled since the last full charge
• Total amp-hours cycled since the battery was new
• Lowest and highest voltage recorded since reset
• Daily data logging for the previous five days, including maximum battery voltage and minimum charging amps to help verify proper charging levels
