The PowerSpout Hydro Bundle is compatible with 12V, 24V, 48V, and grid-tied systems. Proper turbine selection depends on site-specific conditions such as available head, water flow, system voltage, and desired power output.

The model number refers to the approximate operating voltage, also referred to as cable voltage or MPPV.

The no-load or runaway voltage (Voc) can reach as much as three times the normal operating voltage.

For example, a PLT200 may operate near 200V with a compatible grid-tied inverter but can approach 600V open-circuit voltage when the inverter is not drawing power from the turbine.

System components, wiring, disconnects, and controllers must be selected with the maximum possible open-circuit voltage in mind.

High-Power and Greasing Options

High-power upgrades and automatic greasing options are available for compatible configurations.

A high-power upgrade is required when calculated W/RPM exceeds 0.7.
