The Victron Energy Orion-Tr Smart 24V to 24V 17A DC-DC Charger is a professional adaptive 3-stage DC-DC charger with built-in Bluetooth. It is designed for off-grid, battery backup, marine, RV, and vehicle applications and can also be used as a power supply.
The non-isolated design is especially useful in automotive applications where the vehicle frame can serve as a common ground between the starter and house batteries. It is intended for dual-battery systems in vehicles and boats, where the alternator and starter battery are used to charge the service battery.
The Orion-Tr Smart can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and remotely controlled using a remote on/off switch. It also features an engine-running detection mechanism, adjustable output voltage, short-circuit protection, and high-temperature electronic protection.
The charger is suitable for both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Multiple units can be connected in parallel to increase output power.
