Backwoods Solar Surface Mount Pump with Integrated Controller
The Backwoods Solar SDC-9-200 is a surface mounted pump ideal for many off-grid applications. The DC motor can be driven with 40-90VDC solar direct (optimal voltage range is 60-76VDC).
The Backwoods Solar SDC-9-200 provides up to 9GPM at a lift of 200′. This pump is meant to draw water from less than 25 foot water supply depth. This pump does not have an integrated pressure switch, consider adding the P-PS-SQD to your order.
This pump is Centrifugal. The impeller is brass. Check valve is included.
Centrifugal pumps feature dry-run protection. When the pump runs dry for 10 seconds it will stop and then try again after 1 minute. If it does not sense water again it will stop and attempt to run again after another 30 minutes.
Solar direct applications should use a nominal panel size of 300 watts for standard applications, but larger 72 cell panels can be used for peak performance and a wider window of operation. Backwoods Solar surface pumps include an integral DC only pump controller free of charge.
