Bogart Engineering Battery Temperature Sensor Features
-
Amp-hour counting: During a discharge period, the system precisely measures the amount of energy discharged. During recharging, it replaces the same amount plus an additional measured percentage of charge: approximately 110–115% for flooded lead-acid batteries and 104–109% for AGM/Gel batteries.
-
Higher-voltage “mini equalization” finishing stage: During the final stage of charging, the system can increase the charging voltage at a regulated low-current level to help prevent undercharging during limited solar days and maintain battery capacity.
-
Eight adjustable charging parameters: Charging settings can be customized to match a variety of battery types. For easier setup, select from 18 battery profiles that automatically configure the appropriate charging values.
-
TM-2030 Battery Monitor control: The SC-2030 is controlled by the TM-2030 Battery Monitor, typically located in the living area. The TM-2030 connects to the SC-2030, usually located near the batteries, using a standard phone cable.
-
High-efficiency charging: Provides efficient charging at a lower cost than MPPT chargers. For use only with 12V or 24V solar panels and battery systems.
-
Up to 30 amps maximum solar current: The charger will safely reduce its output if panel current exceeds 31 amps.
-
Temperature compensation: Available when the included TS-2 temperature sensor is used.
-
Easy battery charging setup: In most cases, programming is completed by selecting the appropriate charging profile for the battery type and entering the battery capacity.
-
Continued operation if the TM-2030 is disconnected: The charger will continue to function, but with the more basic capabilities of a simpler charge controller.
