Description

Grundfos SQ Flex Submersible Pump – 6SQF-3

Model 6 SQF-3 is designed for flow up to 5.8 gallons per minute and lifts of up to 820 feet! Maximum power used is 1350 watts. It can be directly powered by solar or wind or can be run on an inverter, a generator, a battery bank or the utility grid, or any combination of these sources. Virtually any source of power, 30-300 VDC and 90-240 VAC can be used to run the pump, and with the name Grundfos on it, you know it is built to last and is maintenance-free. The 2.9″ diameter body will fit into a 3” or larger well.  Helical rotor pump for the most efficient high head applications. Will not tolerate sandy water due to the tight internal tolerances of the helical rotor. The SQFlex has built-in protection from dry-running, overload and overheating.

The SQFlex pump can run on a solar array starting at 129 watts. The array must have an operating voltage over 30 volts. The array can be made with any combination of 3 or more 12 volt nominal modules in series. Higher voltages will optimize pump performance and minimize wire size needed.

A 24 month from start-up, 30 month from date of manufacture warranty is standard.

Optional Controls:

  • The CU200 interface box communicates with the pump and monitors operating conditions. Built-in diagnostics indicate faults and low water shut off, display operating status, power consumption and float switch input.
  • The Float Switch interfaces with the CU200 control to turn off the pump when a tank is full.
  • The IO50 and IO100 are simple control boxes with cable terminations and a manual on/off switch. It is a great interface between a solar array and the pump to allow you to turn off the high voltage array when working on the pump.
  • The IO101 is an interface for using AC backup on a solar pump. An automatic transfer switch disconnects the solar array when AC power from a generator, utility connection or inverter is present. When AC power stops, it automatically reconnects the array to let the sun continue pumping.

You can use several controls if you need more features than one control can provide.
